Accessibility Statement
A company that builds for special education has to get this right. Here is where we stand, what we test, and how to tell us when something is in the way.
Our standard
We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA across this website, and we design the Softvorx platform to the same standard. A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) for the platform is planned ahead of district procurement, as noted on our Impact & Partnership page.
What is in place today
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone; a “skip to content” link and visible focus outlines are present throughout.
- Text and interface colors are checked against the AA contrast ratio, including the small monospace labels.
- Animation is reduced or removed when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Images that carry meaning have descriptive text; the SBA certification badges announce the full certification name.
- Pages use real headings, lists, and landmarks so screen readers can navigate by structure.
- Links that open in a new tab say so to assistive technology.
Known limitations
- The interactive workflow diagrams on the Special Education and STEM pages present the same information as text, but the visual sequencing is easier to follow with sight.
- PDF documents offered for download are being produced with tagged headings and reading order; until each one is verified, ask us for an accessible version.
How we test
Automated checks run on every page before a release, alongside a keyboard walk of the navigation and forms. We test in current versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, and with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS.
